Explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas on two wheels on this adventurous biking tour from Cusco. Following pickup at your hotel, spin into the countryside around Zurite, Maras, Moray and Huaypo with your guide. Follow asphalt roads or rugged single-track between top attractions like Lake Huaypo and Urubamba, and admire uninterrupted views over the Andean landscapes. Along the way, discover local communities far from the tourist trail.
Early pick up from your hotel in Cusco, and drive by bus to Zurite, a small town with important Inca agricultural terraces, nearby the Anta “Pampa” (quechua word that means flat area) where we will start our adventure ride. After the first 30 km, we will eat a delicious Picnic Lunch in the community of Maras (3400 m.a.s.l.).
Then we will continue the trip going a little bit uphill (up to 3730 m.a.s.l. still part of the Chinchero Pampa) for almost 10 km where we will visit the circular terraces of Moray, and then we start descending to finally arrive to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. During this trip we will visit the archaeological sites of Zurite and Moray, the salt mines of Maras and the beautiful Huaypo Lake.
Return to Cusco and dinner on your own.
