Horseback Riding is a beautiful and unique way to explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas. While not having to walk, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the green Valley in its fullest bloom. Visiting the Maras Salt Mines and the ancient Inca Terraces of Moray, you will also satisfy your urge to know more about the Inca culture and the past times. As well, you will have loads of fun while riding your horse with your family and friends – an absolutely great experience you don’t want to miss while staying around Cusco.
We will start our Horseback Riding Tour in the small town Paucarbamba, after receiving our safety equipment and a small demonstration of the basic instructions of how to ride a horse (in case you don’t have any experience). From here, we will ride uphill until reaching the high mountains of the Sacred Valley while enjoying beautiful panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains Verónica and Chicón.
After a 3-hour-ride we will reach the archaeological site of Moray where We will discover the Inca Laboratory Terraces and then continue our ride to the small town of Maras, where we will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch (or box lunch) and a short break. Afterwards, we continue descending to the Maras Salt Mines. We will stay here for a short while, enjoying the great ambiance and visiting the tourist stores around. Finally, we will finish our tour in Tarabamba where our transport service will be waiting for us to transport you back to your hotel
